As per the recent update, TikTok has hired Britain’s cybersecurity firm NCC for data audit, data control, and data protection. The main aim of making the decision was to provide independent verification to the users and the company nicknamed it “Project Clover”.
Many private companies and government restrict their employees from using TikTok because the app is owned by ByteDance is a Chinese company and all the other companies are afraid that TikTok might use their data for their interest.
The head of privacy in Europe, Elaine Fox said,
“We are not waiting for our European data centers to become fully operational … we have already started storing personal data for our EEA and UK users by default in a designated secure area known as the European enclave which is hosted in the interim in the U.S.,”
